Damage Assessment
Before we can repair the plaster or render at your property, we need to know the extent of the damage.
Damp-affected plaster is structurally weak, so much so that you can poke a hole in it with a pencil. We need to know how far out from the source of the damp the damage has spread, so we can prepare the repair work accordingly.
Wall Preparation
If your plaster has been damaged by damp or rot, it will often crumble under your fingers.
To perform an effective plastering service, we first need to remove the damaged plaster. We cut away any weak patches until we have a hole surrounded by quality, strong plaster. This gives us a mould we can fill with fresh plaster.
Interior Plastering
With the wall prepared, we can mix and apply our plaster to the hole.
We also make sure any small dents or cracks are filled in and dealt with as we go. Our team of professional plasterers then skim the plaster, giving it an even, level finish. Once dry, it will be strong as it ever was.
Exterior Rendering
When it comes to rendering, the issue is less that it has been affected by damp and more that is has been cracked, pierced, or worn away, letting in water and penetrating damp.
